Description

Students learn the essential morphological, grammatical, and syntactical structures of Latin, and build a basic vocabulary. Through readings and discussion students are introduced to significant aspects of Roman history and culture. The primary goal for this course is to provide students with the necessary tools to read intelligently (linguistically and culturally) Latin texts. Students enhance skills through writing, listening and speaking.

students with a strong desire to learn Latin and/or strong language skills; no prior study of Latin is required
