• About

  Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (BS, 1994) with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Dance.  She furthered her interest in research earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan (2000).  While at U-M, she served as a GSI in the Department of Chemistry. Stephanie was a double post-doctoral research fellow, first at the Life Sciences Institute and Howard Hughes Medical Institute at U-M and later in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy at U-M.   She served as an adjunct instructor in chemistry at Washtenaw Community College for four years and has authored several peer-reviewed articles detailing her research in the fields of carbohydrate chemistry (her favorite!), synthetic chemistry, blood cell development, and enzymology.  

   

  In her free time, Stephanie continues to pursue her love of dance: on a good day, she can nail all her triple pirouettes.
