• About

  BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.  MDiv. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Ill.  Past work experience include five years experience in Computer Operations, including work as an Operations Technical Analyst, Director of Minority Student Development at Trinity College in Deerfield Ill., and as a Life Insurance Agent and Financial Planner. Jeff has also served as a pastor and church planter since 1982 and is currently the pastor of New Beginnings Community Church in Pittsfield Township. Jeff has served as an Academic Standards Board Member, 1988-1991, 1994-present and as an academic advisor, 1989-1991, 1995-Present. Currently Chair of the Quantitative Reasoning sub-committee.

  He is:

  • a member of the University Diversity Council,
  • past president of the UM Association of Black Professionals, Administrators, Faculty and Staff,
  • a volunteer with the Washtenaw County Jail
  • a board chair for the Family Learning Institute,
  • certified in Social Justice Mediation,
  • a mediator and dialogue facilitator for the UM Office of Student Conflict Resolution
  • A member of the speakers bureau of the UM Center for Educational Outreach
