Aileen has spent over ten years supporting undergraduate and graduate students through many schools in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area and Chicago. She taught writing for six years primarily at Bryn Mawr College and Philadelphia University and has taught English as a Second Language at UPenn. As a career counselor at UPenn and assistant director of internships at Princeton, she helped students explore their passions and connect with opportunities. She has additional experience in living/learning communities, graduate student advising, the registrar’s office, website design, and communications. Educated as a humanist, trained as a sociolinguist, qualified to administer the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), she would say that “understanding people” makes life worth living. A champion of good graphic design and finding truth and beauty in the arts, she would also say that “appropriately used fonts” could make life worth living.
