• About

  BS English, Indiana State University; MA English, Indiana University; ABD Doctor of Arts in Rhetoric, University of Michigan.  Combined ten years teaching experience as Graduate Instructor and Lecturer for UM Department of English (Introductory Composition, Argumentative Writing, English Methods, the English Professional Semester), Sweetland Writing Center (English Practicum, Writing Workshop) and the School of Education (Cohort teacher and field supervisor in Secondary Education, Master of Arts with Certification Program).  Past recipient of Outstanding GSI Award and the Ruth M. Sinclair Award for Excellence in Advising.  Joined SAA in 1997 as general advisor; also advises on behalf of the Joint Degree Program in LSA and Engineering and the Academic Standards Board.  Chair of Library Committee and Liaison to Linguistics and the Residential College.  Five years experience teaching English at Mater Dei High School, Evansville, Indiana.  Lead singer and harmonica player for rock/blues band, The Clinch.  Kicks it around whenever the guys can get back to Evansville. UM SD 9/1/87.
