  • About

BA in Psychology, Stanford University; MA and PhD candidate in History of Art, University of Michigan. While a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome, Susan pursued dissertation research in Sicily, but would not endorse Gela as the hotspot it was in the days of Aeschylus.  While in the States, Susan lives in the wild TePaske-Kingdom with a bear, dog and cat; swims daily but slowly (it would take her a mere 49 hours to complete Michael Phelps’ one-day work out); enjoys gardening, jazz, sewing and U-M hockey (just ask the season ticket holder who sits in front of her); and advises students pursuing the Bachelor in General Studies degree.  She has been a GSI in History of Art, Great Books, and upper-level writing courses.

She is a past recipient of the Ruth M. Sinclair Award for Excellence in Advising and the Stanford Men’s Soccer Fan of the Year.
