  • About

Received her BA in Botany from the University of Michigan.  Upon graduation, she worked for a short time for a private tree company in Ann Arbor before coming back to the University to work as a horticulturist.  While working with her student crews as a horticulturist, Erin realized how much she enjoyed teaching the students about the different flora found on campus.  Erin then earned a secondary teaching certificate in biology and chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and a MS in Science Education from Montana State University.  She spent seven years as a high school biology instructor and academic advisor at Washtenaw Technical Middle College before returning to her alma mater once again in her current capacity.  Many times as a teacher, Erin would break out into song to help her students learn a concept, and she is known to do the same thing when inspired during her advising sessions with students.  Unfortunately for her audience, Erin is neither a good singer nor someone who recalls the correct lyrics to a song.
