MS degree in finance (WMU), and a PhD in American Literature (UMass Amherst). She came to us from Michigan State University, where she had been an instructor in the American Thought and Language program. She has taught courses in American literature, English composition, and technical writing. Her specialty is African-American literature during the American Progressive period. At UMass she served as Special Assistant to the Dean of Students; she also worked in a previous life as a financial consultant and analyst, and a technical writer. She joined LSA Student Academic Affairs June 1999 as a pre-business advisor. She currently serves as Coordinator of Outreach Programs. UM SD 6/21/99.
