The LSA Undergraduate Experience

LSA undergraduates are able to extend their college education well beyond the traditional classroom as they go on to become doctors, artists, journalists, researchers, businesspeople, designers, archaeologists, historians, consultants, and so on. While here, many take advantage of the numerous opportunities to learn by experience — in research environments, internships, community service work, study abroad, and so forth. Ensuring that LSA is not only able to continue this contemporary approach of fully engaging students but is able to expand upon it is crucial to our ongoing legacy. Alumni, parents, volunteers, and other friends of the College are able to help make this happen through their time, financial support, and dedication.

All the World's a Classroom (PDF)

Undergrads may study abroad, travel with faculty, participate in a rigorous foreign language program, seek international research and internships, and more. LSA seeks support to extend these opportunities to all students who want them.

Professional experiences can give scope and context to one's education and one's future plans. Many departments provide for internships, and LSA has launched the The LSA Practicum. Support these efforts through funding students or volunteering.

The Leaders and Best (PDF)

Our undergraduates are prepared to be true leaders, ready to engage public life. LSA asks for the support of its alumni and friends to fund unique community programs and to use their own experiences to help enrich today's students' lives.
