Website Policy


The Department will maintain a standard page of information submitted by each faculty member, which can include: a picture, a short (4-5 paragraph) bio, 4-5 publication citations, and a vita. We will only put vitas online if they are sent as attachments in Word format, or as PDF files. We will not scan in hard copies, nor will we edit files.

We will update this information ONCE A YEAR only. New information should be submitted with your annual merit materials, and updates will be done over the summer.

If you wish to have a web presence that is more dynamic, there are a number of options the University offers for making and maintaining your own web site. We will be more than happy to link to any page you create. If you'd like an idea of what can be done with resources like Sitemaker, Webb Keane's page is an excellent example - http://sitemaker.umich.edu/webbkeane.
