Doctoral Candidate in Anthropology
My research focuses on Jordan and the Arabic-speaking world. Drawing on recent work in sociocultural anthropology and in science and technology studies, my research develops connections between classic anthropological concerns around kinship (gender, personhood, the home, land tenure, debt, ritual, exchange, ethnicity and social reproduction) and research into new technologies for large-scale population management like statistics, finance, and urban planning.
