A Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology, Kelly is also completing the Museum Studies Certificate Program. Her dissertation, entitled The Constitution of Value in Cloth and Dress Display in Senegal, focuses on the social interconnections between aesthetics and value in the production and consumption of cloth and fashion in Dakar. Originally from Rhode Island, Kelly earned a B.A. with Honors in Anthropology and High Distinction from UC, San Diego. She has done much field and museum work; she has also served as a concentration advisor in the Anthropology department here.
