Honors Concentration
Candidates for the Honors concentration must complete all regular requirements for the concentration, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 and at least 3.5 in courses elected as part of the concentration. They must also demonstrate the ability to do original work by registering for ASIAN 395 and writing an Honors thesis. A recommendation for the designation of "Honors," "High Honors," and "Highest Honors" in Asian Studies is made on the basis of the quality of the student's Honors thesis.
It is recommended that students interested in pursuing an honors concentration make an appointment with a department advisor by the middle of their Junior year.
