Located on the shores of Walloon Lake in northern Michigan, Camp Michigania provides comfortable accommodations in a picturesque and peaceful location. The Bear River, for which the conference is named, emanates from the spring-fed lake.
The conference site provides both heated and unheated lodges with vaulted ceilings, spruce paneling and lovely views. Each lodge features a spacious common room, a porch, two single rooms and two suites with bathrooms. Each single room contains a double bed. The two suites contain two bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with two sets of bunk beds. Bedding and towels are provided by the camp. Hearty meals are served in the dining hall.
Additional amenities available at Michigania include: laundry, printing/copying, and email access. Please note, however, that access to computers is somewhat limited. Consequently, we encourage you, if driving to the conference, to bring laptops and printers with you. The Education Center at Michigania also offers wireless internet access for your convenience. The main contact number for Camp Michigania is 231.582.9191.
There are also many hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast accomodations available within twenty minutes drive of the camp for those who prefer more privacy.
