ASTRO 122 - The Origin of the Elements and the History of Matter

Advisory Prerequisites: Only first-year students, including those with sophomore standing, may pre-register for First-Year Seminars. All others need permission of instructor.
BS: This course counts toward the 60 credits of math/science required for a Bachelor of Science degree.

ASTRO 122 deals with the origin and history of matter, as found in various astronomical bodies including planets, stars, and galaxies. Students will learn how clues to the history of matter are found in the abundance patterns of objects studies by astronomers. The text will be made available on the web for downloading.
