We will study, produce, and document activist art projects that address issues of human rights. These will involve projects with the Michigan Battered Women's Clemency Project Rally, World AIDS Awareness Day, and other human rights. Issues of representation, exploitation, and voice will be critical areas of discussion and production through images, texts, performance and activities. Visiting artists will be included and projects will be both individualized and collaborative. All media are welcome, as are non-Art students.
