This course will review selected fundamental literature concerned with higher cognitive functioning. Among the topics to be included are: general methods, learning, memory, cognitive aging, concepts and categories, language, reasoning, judgment and decision-making, and problem-solving. Discussions will be led by students, and several faculty with expertise on these topics will participate. Students will write brief essays on occasional topics.


There will be an organizational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5th, from noon to 2:00 in the Pillsbury Conference Room.
