Primary Instructor:

This course focuses on increasing agility of comprehension of written, oral, and visual media. Materials will include popular song (including opera), poetry, prose, film and television, and materials gathered and/or prepared by students. There will be frequent quizzes. Scrupulous attendance and assiduous participation are required. Frequent quizzes, in-class translations, required contributions to class material, regular homework. No midterm, no papers, no final exam.
