Primary Instructor:

Analytical Methods in Mechanics An introduction to the notation and techniques of vectors, tensors, and matrices as they apply to mechanics. Emphasis is on physical motivation of definitions and operations, and on their application to problems in mechanics. Extensive use is made of examples from mechanics.
