SAC 480 - Internship
Section: 001
Term: WN 2008
Subject: Screen Arts and Cultures (SAC)
Department: LSA Screen Arts & Cultures
Credits:
2
Other:
Experiential
Consent:
With permission of instructor.
Repeatability:
May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credit(s). May be elected more than once in the same term.

The Department of Screen Arts & Cultures allows declared Screen Arts & Cultures majors only the opportunity to earn credit for internships which supplement their academic experience.

In order to be approved for credit, internships must have a demonstrable relationship to the student’s course of study in the Department of Screen Arts & Cultures. Experiential work must be performed under the guidance of an internship supervisor and be approved by a sponsoring core faculty member in the Department of Screen Arts & Cultures. It is the student’s responsibility to demonstrate the suitability and relationship of the proposed internship to their course of study. Students should NOT assume that internship credit is automatically granted for experiential work.

Internship credit can not be used to satisfy elective credit in the concentration plan.

Individual Screen Arts & Cultures faculty who have mentored non-majors may consider sponsoring these students on a case-by-case basis. The Department of Screen Arts & Cultures is unable to sponsor non-students for internships. Internships must be completed before graduation.

The Department of Screen Arts & Cultures will sponsor no more than a total of six credits of internship per student.
