Primary Instructor:

This course will focus on translation, comprehension, and explication of selections from Herodotus' Histories. We will pay equal attention to grammar, historical themes and the place of the Histories in Greek literature and culture. Course requirements include a midterm, final exam, oral report, and term paper (5-10 pages).
