Primary Instructor:

In this seminar, students who are conducting an independent research project as part of an honors thesis in Women's Studies will have an opportunity to think about and discuss issues related to conducting independent research. Seminar topics may include all aspects of conducting independent research, such as writing literature reviews, applying for research funds, IRB approval, the data collection process, the presentation of research findings, and attending conferences. Moreover, students in this seminar will receive interdisciplinary exposure to the process of conducting research in several different academic disciplines, and they will learn about the honors projects conducted by their fellow students.
