Primary Instructor:

Principles of Uzbek grammar; phonological structure, sentence patterns and morphology of the language. Course will be taught according to the proficiency method, with emphasis on conversation and written work. Textbook: Uzbek Textbook, vol. 2, by Khayrulla Ismatulls, along with supplementary readings, including Chrestomathy of Modern Literary Uzbek, by Ilse Laud-Cirtautas. Grade will be based on participation, daily homework, biweekly quizzes, midterm and final exams.
