Primary Instructor:

The course will cover the basics of archaeobotany with particular reference to the analysis of plant macroremains. After an overview of current techiniques and approaches, the course will focus on the identification of seeds from both domesticate and wild plants. Every week, the course will consist of a lecture/discussion and a lab session in which the students will work on actual materials. Some additional individual labwork is also expected.
