Environmental Turbulence Introduction to the topic of turbulence with special emphasis on physical processes; characterization of fundamental turbulent flows such as shear layers, wakes, jets, plumes, and thermals; effect of stratification on turbulence; forcing and control of turbulence by acceleration and pulsation.
