Primary Instructor:

This course is an intensive course for those students who wish to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, and at the same time be introduced to various aspects of Italian culture. The material covered in this course is equivalent to that taught in two academic terms of Second-Year ITALIAN 231 and ITALIAN 232. Grading is based on regular attendance, class participation, oral presentations, speaking examination, compositions, home assignments, chapter exams, a midterm, and a final examination. By the end of the course students will be able to communicate orally and in writing, using language structures and an extended vocabulary. In addition, their listening and comprehension skills are going to be well developed.
