In New Italian Media, we will discuss Italy’s contemporary mediasphere (mainstream and auteur films, popular tv shows, news programs) both as aesthetic works and as products of a new media economy pervading political representation, social arrangements, and everyday life. Taught mostly in Italian, the seminar requires active discussions, presentations, and a research paper.
