PSYCH 111 may not be included in a concentration plan in Psychology. Students in PSYCH 111 are required to spend five hours outside of class participating as subjects in research projects. F, W, Sp, Su.

Primary Instructor:

Psychology is the study of the mind that is our common and unique inheritance as human beings. It is an exciting field, where our understanding of ourselves is constantly examined, challenged, and extended. The goals of this course are to familiarize students with basic psychological perspectives and theories, to consider the application of psychology to daily life, and to increase understanding of oneself and others. Class consists of two hour-long lectures each week and one two-hour discussion section. Assessment will involve exams, quizzes, and written assignments.
