This course uses a case study approach to focusing on societies and the influence of societies on creators and creative work through time and across world cultures.

Class Format: Discussion sections are each facilitated by a member of the teaching time devoted to your group for the entire meeting. Each session will be led by two of you and a paper you write based on readings. The mechanics ofhow all this works will be explained next week.
