Primary Instructor:

In the first millennium BCE, Greek adventurers, traders, colonists, and mercenaries traveled all over the ancient world, from Gibraltar to Afghanistan, from Egypt to the Black Sea. This course offers an archaeological perspective on the interactions between Greeks and non-Greeks, and on how those experiences helped to shape both groups.
