Primary Instructor:

This class will examine the sometimes stormy relationship between the President of the United States and the U.S. Congress. The class will examine the classic tensions that exist between the two branches under the Constitution as well the impact of this rivalry on the day-to-day operation of the government. POLSCI 389.008 will also compare the relationship between the executive and legislative branches during the Obama, Bush, and Clinton administrations.
