For dance majors; non-majors by permission of instructor.

Primary Instructor:

Students are introduced to basic elements of the craft of choreography: space, time, force, and motivation; concepts that can be applied to any genre of dance. Topics will be approached through improvisation, movement studies, readings, performance and video viewing, and written assignments. Concepts will be explored both as soloists and in small groups, and will conclude in a final composition showing.
