Primary Instructor:

Designed to provide practical experience and to develop teaching competencies through supervised observation and teaching in elementary school classrooms under joint supervision of University and public school personnel. Requires a daily uninterrupted block of four to six hours during the school day. Open to seniors and graduate students who have been approved for the teacher certification program and whose application for directed teaching has been accepted. Students must satisfy other requirements-consult with School of Music. Course elections during any term of directed teaching are limited to 14 credits.
