Students will be engaged in a number of activities of reinforce key communications skills such as active listening and patient interviewing. The role of cultural influences on communication of health information will be explored. Students will also have the opportunity to work on communication skills and principles outside the classroom with community partners throughout the term. The skills learned in this course will be needed and reinforced throughout the Pharm.D. curriculum.
