Primary Instructor:

This course will explore the topic of "digital culture" in our contemporary era. Students will engage with history, technological analysis, and new forms of art, music, and filmmaking as they critically assess the world of digital cultural production. We will spend considerable time looking at cultural theory — addressing issues of state capitalism, race, gender, class, and sexuality — as well as examples of new forms of control and resistance that are aided by technology.
