Where did global mental health care come from? And, where is it going in our era of neurobiology, globalized pharmaceuticals, and the use of mental health within international security agendas? Partly historical, partly anthropological, this seminar will be a critical genealogy that considers: major debates within the field; mental suffering and care; diagnostic globalization; and mental health governance.
