This course brings you together with the Department’s most advanced screenwriters, production designers from the School of Art & Design and actors from Theatre and Drama to spend the term producing the first act of a feature screenplay. The goal of the course is to provide the screenwriters, the actors, and the production crew with the most integrated production environment possible, with lots of interaction between these three different domains. The writers will re-write based on feedback from the production crews and table readings of the scripts. The production crew will work closely with the writer and actors to produce the first act. This course is designed to provide you with the most in-depth experience of taking a screenplay and getting it successfully on the screen that the Department offers. The production crew, screenwriters and actors will meet together for the entire term. The course is team-taught by Rayher & Burnstein. Lab fee, text, scripts.
