The Careers section of Project Outreach provides students with a psychological perspective on the career preparation process through individual completion of self-assessments and exploring various professional pathways that link with personal interests. This course also facilitates students in building a skills toolbox (resume development, cover letters, mock interviews, exploring workplace and occupational resources, etc.) needed to conduct a professional job search
Attendance at your section is mandatory. The Graduate Student Instructor for each section may state additional section requirements in class.
The purpose of Project Outreach is to allow students to learn about themselves and psychology by becoming involved in community settings. Outreach students engage in real work in the community, designed to meet community needs.
Students learn about themselves in relationship to future potential careers, and explore the social-psychological contexts in which work occurs.
