Primary Instructor:

In this course we will examine women's health issues, across the lifespan, from feminist and sociocultural perspectives. We will explore the social construction of women's health and well-being and the influence of gender dynamics on sexuality, reproductive options, health care alternatives, and risk for physical and mental illness. Attention will be paid to historical, economic, and socio-cultural factors which influence the physical and psychological well-being of women.
