Mandatory credit/no credit.

Description

Course Requirements:

Workshop attendance is mandatory, and each student will be required to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal for the term. Subscription information will be available in class the first day. Evaluation of students will be entirely on the basis of their paper, attendance, and summaries.

Intended Audience:

Students in ECON 108 MUST BE enrolled in ECON 101.

Class Format:

Course meets weekly for discussion of current Wall Street Journal articles related to the week's ECON 101 topics, stressing the use and application of the microeconomics tools being learned in ECON 101.

Students will select a topic, turn in weekly summaries, and open the discussion on their week's topic.
