This course is a broad introduction to a variety of facets of human sexuality and the intersections of sexuality and gender. We will examine constructs such as attitudes toward one's body, casual sex, consensually non-monogamous relationships, sadomasochism, and sex and disability. We will specifically take time to answer questions generated by the class about sexuality issues.
Methods of evaluation will include multiple choice exams and a critical thinking journal.
This course is intended for first-year students and has no prerequisites.
The course involves lectures (many by guest speakers), and discussion sections.
