This course explores how feminist research on gender relations has contributed to, complicated, and otherwise enriched the study of politics. While the readings are drawn from various disciplines, the primary focus of the course will be on the relationship between political institutions, doctrines, and concepts, on the one hand, and gender relations and identities, on the other. Assignments will reflect an emphasis on developing and honing students’ critical writing skills.
