Primary Instructor:

The laws of thermodynamics are presented and applied to energy technologies and used for electric power generation, transportation, heating, and cooling. Physical properties of fuels and materials used in energy production are discussed. The environmental impacts, resource constraints, and economic factors governing conventional and alternative energy technologies are considered.
