LATIN 195 — Intensive Latin — lives up to its name.

LATIN 195 is an 8-credit intensive language course that covers in one academic term the equivalent of LATIN 101 and 102.

In one very intense academic term, you will learn essential morphology, study fundamental grammar and syntax, acquire a strong basic vocabulary, and start to develop critical reading strategies. After four short months, you will be prepared to tackle unedited Latin texts.

Course Requirements:

Nightly homework assignments; weekly quizzes and a major test (with both written and oral components) every two weeks; comprehensive final exam.

Intended Audience:

LSA and RC students

Class Format:

Recitation. It meets two hours four times a week. Supplementary "lunch hours" and "afternoon teas" help ensure that you will succeed.
