Primary Instructor:

Integration of human physiology with comparative animal examples: includes extremes of diet (e.g. fasting, obesity), sleep (i.e. deprivation), environment (e.g. space radiation, deep ocean), communication, sensation, motor performance (e.g. endurance), illness (e.g. shock), and longevity. Topics highlight the limits for physiological systems and their physical system components.
