SWC Writing Assessment. Only first-year students, including those with sophomore standing, may pre-register for First-Year Seminars. All others need permission of instructor.

May not be repeated for credit.
Primary Instructor:

An introductory course taken by all Residential College. Theme, readings, and methodology vary, but the common purpose of all Seminars is to introduce students to the intellectual life of the University and encourage them to become active and responsible in the learning process. Oral and written skills are stressed; students write frequent essays based on class readings and group discussions.
