Primary Instructor:

In this interdisciplinary course, we will use an array of medical, health, and/or clinical research to examine sexuality. We will cover topics related to sexual function and dysfunction, transgender sexualities, sexual interventions, sex therapy, sex offending, intersex sexualities, pregnancy and the postpartum, disparities in sexual health, and more. We will consider issues of health and wellness, disease, pathologization, deviance, and normalization. To do so, we will consider use a variety of feminist and related critical perspectives, including medicalization, queer theory, trans theory, feminist science studies, mad studies, and disability studies.

Course Requirements:

Students will be evaluated on research papers, assignments, and exams/quizzes. This class will use an interactive lecture/discussion format
