This course is a hands-on workshop for Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) teaching and grading Upper-Level Writing Requirement. This course is mandatory for GSIs working in these courses but may be elected with permission by other GSIs interested in the course. Topics include Upper-Level Writing Requirement course standards, writing assignment design, English as a Second Language, responding to student writing, and conferencing with students.
