Primary Instructor:

Integrated study of materials properties, performance, and economic and environmental cost, as related to engineering and architectural design. Topics include material properties and selection, materials database, processing and design, ecological considerations, and optimization. Examples will be drawn from cementitious materials and ceramics, metals, ploymers and composites.
