The course introduces the principles and processes of graphic design — effective communication using typography and visual imagery. Course assignments stress the imaging process, the fundamentals of art and design, and methods for the production of graphic imaging projects. Students learn important aspects of design practice including design terminology, computer software, and how to interact with professional artists/designers.
